FTC Flags Skin Care Company for COVID 19 Treatment

Eighth round of letters brings total to almost 300 nationwide, including new skin care product.

The Federal Trade Commission has sent warning letters to 20 more marketers nationwide to cease making unsubstantiated claims that their products and therapies can prevent or treat COVID-19.    While several of the letters announced today target “treatments” the FTC has warned companies about previously, including intravenous vitamin C infusions, ozone therapy, and supplements, this latest round challenges included skincare products that can reportedly prevent or treat COVID-19.    This was t...
